I'm here doing laundry again. I've given up on hauling my laptop around to coffee shops with free WiFi because the computer's too bulky and slow. Right now it's on top of the cookbook/stereo shelf in the kitchen and functions almost entirely as a jukebox. The only program we ever run is iTunes, since there's no use for Mozilla anymore. Though I suppose there would be if I took it to a coffee shop.
Andre, our third manager at work, put in his two weeks' notice a week ago and then decided last Saturday not to work it out. It's definitely happened before and it will certainly happen again. Anyway, this means that Mark and I are working six days a week (I worked a double on Monday and he's working a double on Sunday). And of course we're the only two on salary, so we can work as many hours as we want! John-o's not allowing overtime right now, though they did make an exception for us this week because someone else quit, too.
But at least I have a job. Financial stress is definitely not anything I want to deal with.
In other news.... We've been working out now for almost a month. Matt bought this set of DVDs called Power90X (I put spaces in originally, but it looks cooler this way). You work a different set of muscles every day for a six days, rest a day, then start over. Basically. Like, shoulders and back, plus abs is the first day. Then plyometrics the second day. Yoga one day, legs and back another day, etc. My whole body was sore the first two weeks. I haven't really been able to tell huge changes yet, but mentally I'm more disciplined and I believe that I can do more than I could before. Plus, it's a much better way to spend time than watching the Simpons.
Mind you, it was all Matt's idea and I'm doing it because he wanted us to both do it. But it was a good decision, of course. It's very gratifying. And they're DVDs, so we can do it at home. I don't think either of us would be doing them otherwise. :)
It's getting close to 3pm...I hope Matt's parents don't get home while I'm here. Heh heh. Better go see how the washer's doing.
